Bhí bronnadh beag againn ag ár dtionól deireannach chun aitheantas a thabhairt dóibh siúd le tinreamh iontach i rith na bliana.

At our final assembly before the holidays we presented those with excellent attendance during the year with certificates. Maith sibh, a pháistí!

Bhí Seó Damhsa curtha ar siúil ag Múinteoir Deirdre dona tuistí sa scoil inné. Dhéan gach rang a damhsa féin agus fuair fiú na tuistí seans chun damhsa. An-lá a bhí ann ar fad!

Today Múinteoir Deirdre, our Irish dancing teacher, organised a fantastic end of year Irish Dancing Show where every class performed. Even members of the audience got an opportunity to take part. Bhaineamar ar fad taitneamh as!

D'árdaíomar an Brat Scoil Cothaithe Sláinte inniu ós comhair slua maith. Tháinig cainteoir, Margaret Crowley, ón HSE chun ár n-iarrachtaí chun sláinte a spreagadh a mholadh. Bronnadh teastas ar bhaill an Coiste Cothaithe Sláínte freisin.

We raised our Health Promoting School flag today. Margaret Crowley, from the HSE, spoke to the assembled audience about how our school helps to promote healthy life-styles amongst the community. Certificates were presented to members of the Health Promoting School/Active School committee. Comhghairdeas leo!

Bhí Aifreann deiridh na bliana againn inniu inar ghabhamar slán le Rang 6. Deineadh bronnadh orthu le fáinní óir agus ghuíomar gach rath orthu ina dtodhchaí amach anseo. Slan go fóill!

We had our end of year Mass today where we got an opportunity to say 'Slán' to 6th class and wish them well in their bright futures. They were presented with a 'fáinne óir' and were assured of a warm welcome for any future visits! Go n-éirí an bóthar libh!

Bookworms na Bliana

Choimeád Rang 4 taifead ar an méid leabhar a léadar i mbliana. D'éirigh le roinnt páistí an gradam 'Bookworms na Bliana' a bhaint amach. Comhghairdeas leo!

There were some very successful 'Bookworms' in 4th class this year who managed to read well over two hundred books between them! They were presented with certificates and a prize for all their literary efforts! Comhghairdeas leo!

Tá an tSeachtain Ghníomhach faoi lán tseoil sa scoil le an-chuid imeachtaí gníomhacha ar siúl. Tá idir cispheil, tag-rugbaí, leadóg, damhsa gaelach, siúlóid urraithe agus lá spóirt againn.

Active School Week is well underway in our school. Events such as basketball, tag-rugby, tennis, a sponsored walk, Irish dancing and our Sports Day are organised for the pupils. The lovely weather has helped to encourage even more activity. Tá an samhradh buailte linn!

Ceolchoirm Chlub Ceoil

Chuir An Club Ceoil ceolchoirm iontach i láthair inniu. Thaispeáin siad don slua an méid foghlaim ata déanta acu sa cheol ó thús na bliana. Bhí páistí ag seinnt ar an bhfeadóg stáin, an bodhrán, an veidhlín agus an guitár.

Our Club Ceoil gave a fantastic display yesterday in their end of year show. They displayed all the wonderful musical talent they have been practising since the start of the year. The pupils played tin whistles, bodhráns, violins and guitars during the performance. Buíochas to Jessie and the teachers for their great work throughout the year! Mo Cheol Sibh!
