Seo chugaibh buaicphointí na Nollag i nGaelscoil Mhuscraí. Fillfimid thar nais  ar an 5ú Eanair 2015. 


We had a very busy December in Gaelscoil Mhuscraí. See some of our festive highlights in the video below. The school will re-open on the 5th of January 2015. Nollaig fé shéan 'is fé mhaise daoibh ar fad!

D'eagraigh Comhairle na nDaltaí 'Lá na bPitseámaí' inniu ar mhaithe don Simon Community. Ghléas gach páiste suas ina bpitseámaí is fearr agus bhí cuairteoir speisialta, i bhfoirm Daidí na Nollag, againn freisin a thug bronntannaisí blasta dúinn.


Our active Students' Council organised a 'Pyjama Day' for our half-day today in aid of the Simon Community. We had a special visitor, in the form of Santa Claus, who handed out tasty treats to the pupils also.  Well done to our Students' Council for an enjoyable, cosy day for a good cause!

Bhí achainí do bhréagáin na Nollag sa scoil an tseachtain seo ar son iad siúd atá ag lorg tearmainn sa tír. Bailíodh roinnt mhaith bronntanaisí dona páistí bochta seo.

A Christmas toy appeal for the children of asylum seekers was held in the school this week. A selection of presents was collected for this very worthy cause. All the gifts were greatly appreciated.

Bailíodh thart air €1,600 don scoil ag crannchur na Nollag le déanaí. Seo chugaibh beirt bhuaiteoir; Conor & Abby lena nduaiseanna. Míle buíochas do chách a thug tacaíocht.

A fantastic €1,600 was raised at our recent Christmas raffle. Here are two winners, Conor & Abby with their lovely hampers. Many thanks to all who contributed.

Dhéan na naíonáin go rang a 1 turas go dtí oifig an phoist inniu chun a gcuid litreacha a sheoladh sa phost do Dhaidí na Nollag. Toisc gur rabhadar chomh maith i mbliana táid ag súil le go leor bronntanaisí uaidh!


Infants to first class made the exciting journey to the local post office today to put their letters to Santa in the post. They had been busily writing them 'as Gaeilge' in the run up to the trip and they all made sure Santa got their wish-list today. Maith sibh, a pháistí.

Táimid fíor-bhuíoch as bhronntanas airgid a fuaireamar ón Cronin Concrete Group ag druidim i dtreo na Nollag. Tugadh €500 don scoil agus táimid chun an t-airgead seo a chur i dtreo cursaí reatha na scoile. Brú anseo le haghaidh a thuilleadh eolais ar an gcomhlacht seo.

Bhí tráthnóna taitneamhach ag naíonáin na scoile inné agus iad i láthair do lasadh soilse na Nollag sa Bhlárnan. Chanadar carúil don lasadh agus bhí deis acu bualadh leis an bhfear mór dearg é féin, Daidí na Nollag, freisin. Bhíomar lán-sásta go raibh baint againn leis an ocáid áitiúil seo.


Our infant classes had an enjoyable evening yesterday at the switching on of the Christmas lights in Blarney. They sang carols in celebration of the event and they had an opportunity to meet Santa Claus. We are very proud of our active role in participating in Blarney's community events.

Seó na Nollag / Christmas Show

Bhí an-oíche againn aréir ag cur Seó na Nollag i láthair do phobal na scoile. Bhí idir canadh, ceol, damhsa agus drámaíocht ar an oíche agus bhain gach duine árd-sult as.


We enjoyed a great night last night presenting our school 'Christmas Show' to family and friends. Our pupils sang, danced, played music and gave great performances throughout the night. See pictures and videos below from the senior classes' production of 'Snow White'.

Bhí cruinniú Skype ag rang a dó le páistí rang a dó sa Bhriotáin, sa Fhrainc mar chuid dár dtionscadail eTwinning 'Celtic Cousins'. Chanamar carúl na Nollag, chuireamar ceisteanna ar a chéile faoin saol scoile agus thaispeánamar na cártaí Nollag a bheimid ag seoladh chuig a chéile dóibh. 

Second class had a Skype meeting with their peers in Brittany, in France as part of the eTwinning project 'Celtic Cousins'. We sang carols, asked questions about school life in our countries and showed our Christmas cards which we will be sending soon. It was a great opportunity to show the pupils how to have a video-conference.
