Déanann páistí ó rang 1-6 Trialacha Caighdeánaithe i mí an Mheithimh gach bliain i Mata, Gaeilge agus Béarla. I naíonáin shínsearacha déantar an MIST. Tá na trialacha seo cabhrach ó thaobh comparáid a dhéanamh idir tortha an pháiste agus an meán náisiúnta. Caithfidh gach scoil na torthaí ó pháistí i ranganna 2, 4 agus 6 a sheoladh abhaile mar chuid den tuairisc scoile deireadh na bliana. Tá eolas thíos a bheadh cabhrach chun an scór caighdeánach i Mata, Béarla agus Gaeilge a mhíniú de réir an tuairisc scoile.

Pupils undergo Standardised Tests in June of each year from 1st – 6th Class in Math, Irish and English.   In Senior Infants – the MIST- Middle Infant Screening Test (English) is carried out. These tests are extremely helpful as they make comparisons between the child’s score and the national average. All schools are obliged to send the results of students in second, fourth and sixth class home as part of the end of year school report. The information  below may be of assistance in explaining your child’s Standardised score/STen score in Maths, Irish and English as per the school report.
