Síntiús don Simon Community / Donation to The Simon Community

D'eagraigh ár gComhairle na nDaltaí Lá Pitseámaí cúpla seachtain ó shin ar son an Simon Community. Thugadar seic de nach mór €400 don chúis iontach seo.

Our active Students Council organised a Pyjama Day some weeks ago in aid of the Simon Community. They presented their cheque of nearly €400 to the Simon Community this week.

Tá daltaí na hIdirbhliana ón meánscoil áitiúil ag teacht chuig na meán agus árd-ranganna gach Máirt ag múineadh Gearmáinise. Tá na páistí ag baint taitneamh agus tairbhe as.

Transition year students from Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál are teaching our middle and senior classes German every Tuesday. They are all greatly enjoying these interactive lessons.

Bhí sé mar chúis áthais dúinn inniu bronntanaisí a bhronn Sean Kelly MEP ar an scoil a fháil. Tháinig se ar cuairt chugainn roimh na Nollag. Fuaireamar liathróidí, filteáin, cluichí, leabhair nótaí, frisbí agus roinnt mhaith eile maisithe le téama na hEorpach.

It was a great source of excitement today to receive presents from Seán Kelly MEP. He had visited our school before Christmas and gifted us a wide variety of EU themed goodies. We now have additional footballs, frisbees, notebooks, board games and much more courtesy of our local MEP. Míle buíochas, a Sheáin!

Beidh Oíche Tráth na gCeist ar siúl in Óstán an Chaisleáin sa Bhlárnan an Aoine seo an 27ú Feabhra ar a 8in. Cead Isteach €4. Bígí linn le haghaidh ceisteanna, craic agus go leor duaiseanna!

There will be a Quiz Night in aid of the school in The Castle Hotel, Blarney on this Friday the 27th at 8pm. Plenty of spot prizes can be won on the night also. Tickets are €4. Bígí linn!

Fuair na naíonáin turas timpeall feirm áitiúil inniu ar bhus an phobail. Lá taitneamhach, oideachasúil a bhí ag cách.

Our infants received a guided tour of a working farm today courtesy of some very kind farming parents and the local community bus. They enjoyed a beautiful Spring day learning about life on a farm.

Our middle classes enjoyed a nature walk this week to identify and explore the budding signs of Spring that are all around us in Blarney.

A Book Fair will be held in the school hall on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th from 1.30pm to 3pm and from 7pm – 8.30pm on both days. Many thanks to the parents who are organising this.
