Tá an-sceitimíní orainn inniu taréis dúinn a fháil amach go bhfuilimid taréis a bheith curtha ar an ngearrliosta don Eircom Junior Spider Awards 2014 - tá sé seo gradam a thugtar amach do scoileanna a bhaineann sár-úsaid as an idirlíon agus an teicneolaíocht. Táimid an-bhródúil as seo agus spreagann sé sinne go mór inár gcuid blagáil.

We are very excited today to learn that we have been shortlisted for the 2014 Eircom Junior Spider Awards. These awards recognise excellent use of the internet and IT in school blogs and websites. We are very proud of this achievement and it really encourages us in our blogging!

Tháinig Aine isteach chugainn arís inniu chun labhairt faoi thír nua. Labhair sí faoin Indinéis. Seo cad a fhoghlaimíomar faoin Indinéis:
Tá trí shaghas bananaí ann - cínn normálta, cinn milse agus cínn searbh. Tá caifé speisialta acu atá an-dhaor. Thug Aine é isteach. Ta eitleán a d'imigh ar strae ón ait sin. Eitilt MH370 isea é. Thaispeáin Áine eolas faoi sna nuachtán. Ar bun tá an brat ón Indinéis.

Aine came in again today to talk about a new country. She talked about Indonesia. This is what we learned about Indonesia: There are three types of banana - normal bananas, sweet ones and bitter ones. They have a special type of coffee that is VERY expensive - Áine brought some in. There was a plane that went missing, its number was MH370. We looked at newspaper reports about it. Below is the Indonesian flag.

Tháinig cuairteoir ag caint faoin Iosrael. Áine is ainm di. Bhí sí suimúil. Bhí sí in Iosrael lena mac. Dhéan sí postaeirí. Thaispáin sí na postaeirí dúinn. Bhí na postaeirí go hálainn. Tá sé suite in aice le Syria. Tá farraige ann : an mhuir mharbh is ainm dó. Nuair a théann tú san uisce ní féidir leat snámh ann mar tá an-chuid salann sa bhfarraige. Fásann an-chuid torthaí ann. Tá siad sna margaí an t-am ar fad.

A visitor came to talk about Israel. Her name is Áine. It was very interesting. She was in Israel with her son. She made posters. She showed us the posters.The posters were lovely. Israel is situated next to Syria. There is a sea: it's called the Dead Sea. When you go into the dead sea you can't swim because there is loads of salt in the sea. A lot of fruit grows there, like olives. They are in the markets all the time.

Bronnadh Discover Cork Heritage Project

Inné chuamar go dtí Silver Springs chuig bronnadh na ngradam le haghaidh ár dtionscaimh staire ar Halla Emer. Bhuamar an triú áit do rang a ceathar i gCorcaigh. Bhí an-chuid scoileanna eile ann. Bhí an-chuid duaiseanna á thabhairt amach. Bhí sé an-fhada. Fuaireamar dhá rosettes, ceann amháin don scoil agus ceann eile do mhúinteoir Cáit. Bhí an-chuid tionscaimh iontacha ann.

Yesterday evening we went to Silver Springs to an award ceremony for our history project on Emer Hall. We won the third place for fourth class in Cork. There were a lot of other schools there. There were a lot of prizes to give out. It was very long. We got two rossettes, one for the school and one for múinteoir Cáit. There were a lot of good projects there.
