 Thug Ger, 'fear na n-ialtóga' cuairt ar gach rang inniu chun insint dúinn féna créatúirí spéisiúla seo agus sinn ag druidim i dtreo Oíche Shamhna. Fuaireamar a chuid cainte an-shuimiúil ar fad. Ger, an expert in all things bats-related, visited the school today to speak to each class about these interesting creatures. We all enjoyed his informative and topical presentation as we ready ourselves for the Halloween holidays!     Garda Seán ag caint le Seán Óg! Tháinig Garda an phobail chugainn chun caint faoi shábháilteacht i rith Oíche Shamhna. Labhair sé le gach rang agus thug sé comhairle dona daltaí faoi chonas coimeád slán agus iad ag dul ó theach go teach ag déanamh 'bob nó bia'! Garda Séan, our community guard, visited the school and spoke to our pupils about being safe at Halloween. He gave great advice for keeping safe as we go trick or treating during mid-term break! 
Bhí an-seó curtha i láthair i halla na scoile inniu nuair a thug Cyclone Rep Theatre Productions cuairt ar an scoil.Chuireadar dráma, plé agus céardlann bullaíochta ar fáil dona paistí. Chan gach éinne amhráin taitneamhach sa deireadh - éist leis thíos!
An excellent show was performed in the school hall today from Cyclone Rep Theatre Productions. A play, discussion and workshop on bullying was presented to the students from 2nd to 6th class. We all sang a 'rap' at the end - have a listen below. 
Bhí lá iontach inniu ag rang a 5 agus 6 ag fáil bronnadh agus turas timpeall COC. D'fhoghlaim siad an-chuid faoin stair, eolaíocht agus cultúr a bhaineann leis an ollscoil. Fifth and sixth class had a fantastic day today when they went on a junior conferring tour to UCC - they explored the Aula Maxima, the Stone Corridor and the Crawford Observatory. They got a great taste of student life in one of Ireland's biggest universities.   Tá an iománaíocht tosnaithe le Chumann Lúthchleas Gael an Bhlárnan an tseachtain seo agus rithfidh sé ar aghaidh i gcomhair sé sheachtaine. Is mór an leithscéal a thugann sé dúinn a bheith gníomhach! Hurling training has started with Blarney GAA today and will run for six weeks. It gives our pupils a great excuse to get out and exercise! |
