Gaelscoil Mhuscraí were well represented in our local St Patrick's Day celebrations on Monday. Our students marched as part of the Blarney parade, clad all in green. Jennifer from fifth class got an opportunity to showcase her lovely voice by singing some songs as gaeilge on stage in the town centre also. Maith sibh!
Bhí Gaelscoil Mhuscraí an-pháirteach i gceiliúradh Lá Fhéile Pádraig sa Bhlárnan ar an Luan. Bhí ár ndaltaí ag siúl mar chuid den pharáid agus fuair Jennifer ó rang a ciúg deis iontach a cuid amhranaíocht álainn a chur fé bhráid an phobail áitiúil nuair a chuaigh sí suas ar an stáitse chun cúpla amhrán as Gaeilge a chanadh. Ár dTuras
Le haghaidh seachtain na n-innealtóiró chuamar ar chuairt chuig dhá áit ina mbionn an-chuid innealtoirí ag obair. Ní raibh deis againn dul go dtí an lá inniu toisc an aimsir stoirimiúl i mí Feabhra. Chuamar chuig ionad uisce coireála.Tá an t-ionad seo suite in Inniscarra. Tógann siad uisce ó abhainn an Laoi agus glanann siad é chun é a scaipeadh timpeall na cathrach.Tógann an próiséis ghlanachán sé n-uaire . Tá ceithre chéim i gceist.
1 Roimh-scagúchán
2 Titim go bun [sedimentation]
3 Scagúchán
4 Iar-scagúchán
An píosa is fearr liom ná nuair a chuamar isteach chuig an seomra smachta ag féachaint ar an dtrealamh a bhí in usáid fadó.
Chuamar chun damba hidrea-leictreach ESB in Iniscarra a fheiscint freisin. Chuamar ar barr an damba is labhraíomar le fuíollach innealtóirí. Bhí an-la againn.

Junior infants visited the local library to listen to stories as Gaeilge. They will meet the local naíonra pupils too to play games as gaeilge. 1st and 2nd class will have a quiz and senior classes are putting on a display! 3rd and 4th class will put our new computer room to good use by publishing an ebook of stories. We will have a céilí on Friday with Múinteoir Deirdre and a 'Green' disco on Friday evening the 14th! Click here for a full list of activities.
Tá ranganna 3-6 ag foghlaim cúpla amhráin deasa do Sheachtain na Gaeilge. Dhéanamar taifead ag úsáíd an bogearra 'Audacity'. Eistigí thíos leo.

We received St Patrick's Day cards from our pen pals in Cill na Martra and now we are making cards for our pen pals. We made cards for our eTwinning friends in Scotland and France too. 5th and 6th class are making cards for their French pen pals. They received cards from their French pen pals telling them about school life in France.

Seo eolas faonár Naomh náisiúnta - fuarthas é ón suíomh Seomra Ranga, suíomh atá lán d'áiseanna oideachasúla. Brú anseo don nasc. Freisin thíos léirítear i bhfiseán gur thug Naomh Padraig ní hamháín an Chríostaíocht go hÉireann ach an Ghaeilge scríte freisin. Brú ar ann gcaipe sa chúinne ar dheis chun iad a mhéadú.
As we approach St. Patricks Day, here is a presentation on our Patron Saint. It comes from the fantastic educational website called Seomra Ranga. Click here for the link. Also below is a short video on how St. Patrick not only brought Christianity to Ireland but also the Irish written word. Click on full-screen button in bottom right corner to enlarge.
