Tá an-shuim ag duine dár ndaltaí, Oisín i rang a cúig, sa pholaitíocht. Chruthaigh sé Powerpoint chun múineadh dona meán agus árd ranganna féna toghcháin áitiúla atá ag druidim cóngarach. Foilsíodh litir a scríobh sé san Irish Examiner le déanaí. Tá sé ag eagrú cuairt óna h-iarrathóirí áitiúla atá ag iarraidh a bheith ina gComhairleoirí chuig na scoile ar an Luan. Toisc a obair iontach fuair sé amach go mbeidh sé ag bualadh leis an dTaoiseach Enda Kenny i gCorcaigh inniu! Comhghairdeas leat, Oisín. One of our pupils, Oisín in fifth class, has a great interest in politics. He created an informative presentation for the middle and senior classes on the upcoming local and European elections. A letter he wrote on gender imbalance in politics was recently published in the Irish Examiner. He is organizing a visit from Blarney's local electoral candidates to our school on Monday. He has made such an impression on local candidate, Damien Boylan, that Oisín has been given the opportunity to meet our Taoiseach today! Watch the video below as Oisín receives the news. We are looking forward to quizzing him on his upcoming meeting. Comhghairdeas, Oisín. Tá obair dochreidte ar siúl ag na hárdranganna mar chuid den chlár Discover Primary Science and Maths. Dhéanadar teirminéadair, brící stroighne agus roicéadaí!! Níl aon teora lena scileanna eolaíochta. Féach ar an bhfiseán thíos. Senior classes are doing incredible work as part of the school's participation in the Discover Primary Science and Maths programme. They have made thermometers, concrete bricks and rockets! We have many budding scientists in the making - take a look at the video below. Discover Primary Science & Maths on PhotoPeach Tháinig Aine ar chuairt chugainn arís an tseachtain seo ach faraor tá sé an tseachtain dheireannach di ar scoil. Labhair sí faoi Serbia agus thug sí isteach roinnt rudaí ón dtír, cosúil leis an t-airgead, chun taispeaint dúinn. Bhaineamar árd tairbhe as mar is gnách agus táimid fíor-bhuíoch as ucht na hoibre ata déanta aici linn. D'fhoghlaimíomar an-chuid uaithi faoi an-chuid tíortha éagsúla. Go raibh maith agat, Áine! Today was Aine's last visit to middle and senior classes telling us about a country she has visited. She informed us all about Serbia, as Gaeilge. We admired all the items she brought from that country. We have learned a great deal from Áine over the past few weeks about many countries around the world and we are very grateful to her for taking time out to speak about her travels. Go raibh míle maith agat! Ranganna 3-6 Tháinig bean darb ainm Noelle ag féachant ar ár n-obair eTwinning. D'fhoghlaim sí féna caisleán sa Pholainn, Gréig, Azerbaijan, Frainc agus Éire. Bhí an-chuid eolas againn faoi na caisleán. Thaispeánamar ár dtionscadail faoi thíortha san Eoraip di freisin. Labhraíomar féna toghcháin Eorpach freisin atá ag teacht suas. Tá sí bainteach leis an gClár Gorm a spreagann scoileanna chun foghlaim faoi chúrsaí na hEorpa. Tá Brat Gorm againn. A woman called Noelle visited us today from the Blue flag programme. The Blue Flag programme encourages schools to learn about Europe and the EU. Our school has a Blue Flag. Noelle was looking at our eTwinning projects. We told her about our work on castles in Poland, Greece, France, Azerbaijan and Ireland. We had lots of information about the castles. We showed our projects on different EU countries too and we spoke about the upcoming MEP elections. Isaac (Rang 4) This is the eTwinning symbol/Séo é an tsiombail don eTwinning. Caviar is from Azerbaijan and kids are not allowed to eat it. There is alot of oil in Azerbaijan. The name of the money in Azerbajan is Manda. The value of the money changes nearly every day .
