3rd and 4th class made a silhouette based on the Micheal Morpurgo book 'The Butterfly Lion'. We are reading the book. It's about a child named Bertie who ran away from his boarding school and met an old woman.The woman told him she knew a man named Bertie as well. She told him about his life and how they met .In the veld, where Bertie used to live, there were many wild animals.
The Timbavati is in South Africa, where Bertie found a white lion. There are other animals in the Timbavati such as hyenas, vultures, elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, warthogs, impalas, black mambas, wildebeests, cheetahs, monkeys and baboons.There are hills in Africa called a Kopje. There are loads of wild animals all over Africa. We showed them in our African Silhouettes.
Micheal Morpurgo wrote many other books. He is a brilliant author.
